This project was a group collaboration to create a high-fidelity prototype for the app concept ‘Soundwave’ - a social media music platform. Over the course of two months, my group and I generated an app concept and then worked together through the design stages to generate the final prototype. Though we worked collaboratively through all stages, I was focused particularly on the search features of the app.
We were interested in exploring the space of music listening and social media, as although we liked the Spotify ‘friend activity’ feature, we felt that overall Spotify didn’t feature social music connections as much as we would like. Moreover, we all felt slightly tired of Spotify’s recommendations and were interested in a more social way to discover new music.
