Collaborators: Champions Design, Maremoto, Sage Jenson
I focused on translating the brand into a web experience that balanced structure with energy, using strong visual hierarchy, expressive layouts, and pacing that supported momentum rather than passivity. Imagery, typography, and motion were treated as tools for building pressure and presence, reinforcing the idea of collective power rather than individual persuasion. Crucially, the site had to have an English and a Spanish version. I designed it for easy translation.
The process involved close collaboration with the Maremoto team through ongoing client conversations, ensuring the site reflected their voice and ambitions while pushing beyond expected nonprofit aesthetics. I also worked closely with Sage Jenson, who developed a custom shader for the site, integrating technical experimentation into the visual language and enhancing the sense of movement and force across the experience.
Together with the Champions team, we ensured the final site felt cohesive across static and dynamic elements: performant, expressive, and aligned with Maremoto’s identity as a catalyst for change.
